- WPS’s own files (.wps) need WPS Office.

Which office app will it use?
The one chosen in Settings, or automatically: Microsoft Office, then WPS Office, then LibreOffice. OpenDocument files try LibreOffice first.
I have no office app. What now?
Install the free LibreOffice. Podalls Convert finds it by itself, and the tool tells you when none is found.
