What this version does not do, said plainly.
- Podalls Downloader does not create MP3 files. MP3 is produced separately in Podalls Convert.
- The advertised MP3 workflow converts a video file. Download the video rather than Audio only when you want an MP3.
- Dedicated video handling currently recognises YouTube addresses; it does not support every video website. For other sites, use a direct link to the video file.
- Only download content when you have the necessary rights and the source permits downloading. Public access does not by itself grant permission to download or reuse content.

Does Podalls Downloader download MP3 directly?
No. MP3 is produced separately in Podalls Convert.
Do I need both apps?
Audio-only downloading works in Podalls Downloader alone. The MP3 workflow needs both apps; once both are installed, the Convert button appears on its own.
Can I convert the downloaded M4A to MP3?
The workflow shown here converts a video file to audio, so download the video when you want an MP3.
Does a higher bit rate restore quality?
No. Converting to MP3 cannot recreate detail that is missing from the source.
