Scans too
With Read scanned PDFs on (the default), scanned pages are read with Windows’ own text recognition.
Good to know
Honest limits.
No surprises.
- Editability comes first, so complex layouts may need tidying.
- Multi-column pages and fonts without a text mapping are flagged with a warning.
- Password-protected PDFs need to be unlocked first.

Will it look exactly like the PDF?
Close, but editability comes first: text becomes paragraphs you can edit instead of boxes pinned to the page. Check the result before sharing it.
Do I need Microsoft Word?
